N°5 avenue Van-Dyck, Paris

It’s been raining on and off all weekend and I think I’m starting to get another cold (so annoyed as I never get sick) but
I needed to get out or else I would go insane so I tied up my sneakers to go for a walk to my favourite park, Le Parc Monceau.

It rained the whole time so I didn’t stay long but not before snapping a photo of this place through the wrought iron gates.
In my true ‘I use google all the time’ fashion, as soon as I got home, I wanted to know the history of this place.

Google tells me Emile-Justin Menier had this hotel built between 1872 and 1874 by Henri Parent, well known in the field of architecture.

Monsieur Menier inherited a few businesses from his father, one being the famous Menier Chocolate empire.
L’Hotel Menier is NOW a private property which is split up into apartments, you can rent one on the third floor for the cheap price of 25,000 euros a month. 🙂

Happy Sunday!
